What it all Costs

Although each project is unique, I do my best to prepare an advance quote that contains no hidden fees, expenses, or surprises.

The basic fee for an original design for your website is $550. This fee covers the creation of an overall "look", color scheme, and page layout unique to you and your site, and the publishing of one single page online at your domain name. This page can include text, photos, links to email and other sites, etc. (In fact, some professionals want or need only one page, just a placeholder-calling card on the web.)

If you have your own specific design or "look" in mind, we can start there. My basic fee also includes two hours of pre-design consultation to discuss colors, layout, banners, etc.

If you want a fuller site, we create pages based on the theme of the first page, such as: About You  •  Pricing and Fees  •  Directions to Your Location  •  List of Services You Provide  •  Photos of You, Your Studio, Your Work  •  A Basic "Contact Me" Form.  Each page can include it's own unique, text, photos, graphics, and other details.

If I need to create a new logo or banner (from scratch or from your existing print material), I may need to charge per hour to cover the extra time.

BEYOND THE BASICS

Some features are a bit more labor-intensive and I charge accordingly:

1.) Graphics and photo work requiring extensive image creation/editing in Photoshop
2.) Audio file editing or conversion,
3.) Special Javascript editing of pulldown menus or other moving stuff
4.) Creatiuon of an online calendar (example)
5.) Viewer-completed forms (example)
6.) Photo album/catalogue pages (examples)

FEE OVERVIEW:

• New site: Initial design and publishing of one page online: $550
      (This includes photo and graphic processing.)
• Setup of hosting and email at your domain, if needed: $50/hour.
• Additional pages on your site: $75—$125/ea, depending on complexity.
• Photo Album/Artwork Gallery up to 12 images: $175 (larger albums on request of course).
      (You supply me with good quality digital images, I'll edit them and do the rest.)
• Creation of Forms from $75/page, depending on your web hosting.
• Update or rework your existing site: Probably hourly, let's talk about it.
• Ongoing maintenance contracts (monthly caretaking of your site): $45/hr.
• Consulting/instruction in iContact, ConstantContact, Blogspot design, etc.: $75/hour.

If, after our initial consultation, I begin working on your project, I request a $200 deposit. I'll create one or more draft pages which you will be able to view online in a private area of my site. If we decide to move forward, I'll complete the basic page design to you liking and you'll pay me the balance of the basic fee: $350.

But you decide for any reason not to move forward with it (or with me), I will retain the $200 deposit, for our consultation(s) and my work to that point, and that will be the extent of your investment with GWS.
